- Keep your clothing simple. This doesn’t mean boring. We want to highlight you , at this stage, and we don’t want any your clothing to take center stage. Classic, effortlessly classic pieces are best.
- Wear your hair down, and don’t try a new style the morning of. If you cannot abide your hair down, or are worried about hair in your face , consider a fun headband or a classic updo with Bobby pins.
- Apply natural-looking makeup. Yes to mascara and lip balm. Yes to the dewy skin look. Go lighter on blush or bronzer that you normally wear, as this can look darker on camera.
- Go light on the jewelry. Think classic, elegant statement pieces.
- Guys – I may have lost you on the hair and makeup section. For you: Shave or trim facial hair.
- Make sure your glasses avoid glare. Many seniors prefer to not wear their glasses for their photos , but please bring them to the session.
- The look we want is confident, stylish, and comfortable. Keep that in mind as you are choosing your outfit.
