“Come, let us worship and bow down.
Let us kneel before the Lord our maker,
for he is our God.
We are the people he watches over,
the flock under his care.”
Psalm 95:6-7 (NLT)

I have been thinking about being part of Gods flock.
Flocks immediately brings to mind poultry for me, although I recognize the animal in the psalm is a sheep. Or a flock of sheep rather.
I have chickens and I adore them. But my mind is on puppies lately.
And while a pile of puppies is not exactly a flock, being under God’s tender care might be compared to the way we cherish caring for our fury friends.

God watches over us. He cleans up our messes. He provides the things we need. Similarly to how we care for our pets.
He adores us, and we adore him. He sees the bigger picture, even though we cannot, and He cares for us accordingly .
He has good in mind for us. We can trust His heart. We can trust that He is going to watch over us.
